Acupuncture is part of mainstream health care, as a stand alone treatment and in combination with conventional Western Medicine.

It involves a technique of inserting and manipulating fine needles into specific points on the body called channels along which Qi, a kind of energy, flows.

This technique helps alleviate whatever form of pain, depletion or discomfort may have occurred, be it emotional or physical, by redressing any imbalance in this Qi.

What is Acupuncture?

How can Acupuncture

work for you?

Acupuncture  works... more people are turning to Acupuncture to treat a variety of problems whether they be physical or emotional in origin. The emphasis is on treating the root of the problem, looking at the person as a whole, and restoring balance to allow the body's own healing potential to take place.

MRI's show that Acupuncture triggers the body's healing process by calming the central nervous system, regulating hormones and releasing endorphins.

Acupuncture treats physical and emotional issues. This may manifest in a number of ways, e.g. frozen shoulder, reoccuring headaches, or feeling stressed. These are examples of temporary states of disharmony but they can linger and become chronic. When this happens we can find ourselves in a downward spiral where the mind and body have no real connection. Acupuncture can help resolve these chronic conditions. You may also notice other niggling problems resolve, that you sleep better and feel less stress. People who have Acupuncture usually report, after a few treatments, a sense of well-being. They know deep inside that they are on the path to recovery.

I frequently hear ''I feel better in myself''

Acupuncture is a safe and reliable medical intervention used by many millions around the world. Agencies such as NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) and the WHO (World Health Organisation) have highlighted a range of conditions where Acupuncture is suitable.

If donating blood there is a deferral period of 4 months.
